Discovered in 1967, this, the blue variety of the mineral zoisite, is known for its intense trichroism (displaying blue, violet, and brown) and is often heat-treated to enhance its signature deep blue and violet hues.
Tanzanite is believed to promote emotional balance, reduce stress, and enhance communication by linking the heart and third eye chakras. Physically, it is reputed to boost the immune system and aid in skin healing. Culturally, it symbolises new life, prosperity, and wisdom, often gifted for new beginnings.
Mandarin garnet is a rare, vibrant orange variety of spessartine garnet known for its intense, fiery colour and high brilliance, caused by manganese. Primarily discovered in Namibia in the 1990s, these garnets are cherished for their bright, pure orange tones, often requiring no treatment. They are durable for jewellery with a hardness of 7.5 on the Mohs scale.
